De beste boeken die ik las in 2012

Weer veel boeken gelezen dit jaar, ook rommel helaas, boeken die ik al snel heb weggelegd. Maar ook juweeltjes. De gedichten van Sylvia Plath in The Colossus. Een boek over wetenschap in de Middeleeuwen van James Hannam: God’s Philosophers — How the Medieval World Laid the Foundations of Modern Science.

Ook weer veel romans gelezen. Enkele boeken die er uitsprongen… The End of Mr. Y van Scarlett Thomas, A Visit from the Goon Squad van Jennifer Egan, The Martian Chronicles van Ray Bradbury.

De romans die het diepste indruk hebben gemaakt waren Deathless van Catherynne M. Valente, een Russische legende in een betoverend modern jasje, en het diep aangrijpende The Unnamed van Joshua Ferris.
